Who is the founder?

I am Gudrun, a health psychologist and stress therapist. I have worked in psychology for over 20 years, helping people like you achieve a happier, more relaxed life.

Many people are not aware of the stress they are experiencing. Workplaces are only too willing to accept stressful ways of working that force you to be more efficient, i.e., the workload given has to be finished in a shorter period. Because you have learned to accept the stress in fear of losing your job, you, instead of changing your behaviour to reduce the long-term stress, move on like before.

Only when you accept the situation you are in right now and create a strategy how to change the situation in the future you will find resilience.

When you are in a stressful situation what are you doing? Are you trying to please everybody? Or are you willing to take bold actions? How are you handling responsibilities?

When I face a challenging situation, I sit down, gather the information possible, weigh them and find the best path to proceed for me. The tricky part comes now: to accept the stressful situation, to act according to the plan laid out, be patient and never to give up whatever obstacle comes my way. Of course I have wanted to give up many times, but the option to succeed and not to burry the head the in the sand is more attractive to me. Let me give you an example:

In February 2022 I was diagnosed with cancer. It hit me because I was expanding my online business, had courses and coaching to run and STOP. Everything stopped. I was told I had spread cancer and I envisoned that I would have about two months to live. Luckily, it all turned out different and it was no spread cancer. Because of side effects, I lay in bed nearly one and half years. It ment admission into hospital and discharged again for really many times. On 6th of June 2023 I left the hospital for the last time. Since the cancer popped up, I am disabled, partly paralysed, had to learn to walk again and I am not able to walk long distances until today. For me it means no (ultra) marathons, no long walks, etc. But I am happy. It will be a different life, but a good one.Hopefully, one day I will wheel the Berlin marathon in a wheelchair, but before I start this project more important ones have to be finished, like knowing how a car has to be changed that I will be able to drive it.

Since I have left the hospital for the last time I have build up my company nearly from scratch again. It is more successful than it has been ever before. I have helped many people to face their challenges like additions, getting back their driving licences, change their perspective towards life, to gain optimism to be able to influence the current situation, etc. The root of the problem was chronic stress or a situation that overwhelmed a person. Often my clients are not aware of the stress they experience and have given up hope. Stress makes people anxious, helpless and afraid of taking the action which is needed to become resilient and happy again. Sometimes it is a long way for these people to get back on track and to find the life they are wanting to live.

I have been in many stressful situation in my life, but it was always important for me to find my balance after a period of stress as I know stress is heathy and brings out the best performance possible. Only if you are not relaxing in between, you will run into chronic stress and burnout. For me it is important to take breaks to recover,  to make positive experiences to recharge after a stressful period of time.

If you book a coaching package, you will get my full attention. The part I am not able to help you with is taking action,  but I am willing to be your accountability buddy, if you wish.
